angelfish cant survive in our waters...
Hello; Not that it is evidence or that the experience of other species necessarily applies to the snakes in question, but it was thought that cold climates would stop the spread of fire ants and the africanized bees (killer bees). It turns out that these two problem species have in their make up the ability to cope with cold winter weather. It is my understanding that the ancestors of most species endured varying climate changes thru their long histories. Adaptation is a strong survival element for living things. I seem to recall, but cannot verify, that there was recent indications that the pythons already established in the wild in Florida are able to handle cold temperatures better than previously thought.
Hello; I cannot sign this based on the information given. The problem of invasive species is very serious across the country and the world. Many plant, fish, reptile and amphibious species from the home pet trade have become established in the wild causing problems. Some species listed may already be established in the wild in the US, so that it may already too late to close those particular "barn doors".
For the species not already established in the wild some sort of restriction seems proper.
Please clairfy you position about why these potentially damaging species should not be restricted??
