KOI are pretty kickass fish.. We bought a bunch of them to eat algae ontop of our bass pond... we bought about 100 of them at 3-4 inches and only about 5 made it we came back the next day and it was a feeding frenzy for blue herons but the 5 that made it are now 2 and a half feet long and prob weigh close to 40-50 pds. They have the largest scales I have ever seen on a fish

From Experience, a 2.5 ft long koi doesn't weight that much. lol.
