I hate to disagree with Jeff, but My barred Midas (Amphilophous Sagittae)
started out grey with black bars, and now pretty much looks like the picture here.
I have researched this, and I haven't found any other reference to this "Xiloaenses" variant other than in TUIC.
My 4 year old son says the fish is evolving like a Pokemon!

What are you exactly disagreeing with Jeff on here? Amphilophus citrinellus is the Midas, not Amphilophous Sagittae (not sure of these have common name yet).

Pretty much all fishes in the Midas complex starts out as barred. Some stay barred, others change to white, yellow, orange, red, or a mixture of those colors.

It is as it says in the picture, Amphilophus xiloaensis. A species of Amphilophus endemic to Lago Xiloa.

In order to do the proper research you must first have the proper resources. The interwebs is very good for this.
