Congrats on your dedication! Actually, turning the corner and making the effort to lose weight, not just talk about it, was the biggest step for me.

I ballooned upwards of 270 lbs last year and finally hit my tipping point. I was an athlete in college and I'm only 27 years old, I felt like I shouldn't be so out of shape so fast. On that path, I felt I was headed to an early grave. I listen to a lot of sports talk radio here in MD and the one guy constantly hawked Medifast diet systems so I decided to give it a try. They have weight loss centers, almost like weight loss therapy, someone to talk to you weekly, help through your plateaus and such. I couldn't afford that route so I stuck to ordering the food offline and doing it on my own.

I've weaned myself off of the diet on my own accord due to financial constraints (which isn't recommended but I didn't have a choice), but I lost 85 lbs in about 7 months. It changed my eating habits and changed my life, honestly. Diets are a lot about what you put into them and I'm aware they don't work for everyone, but this one absolutely worked well for me. I'm back down to the weight which I was playing sports at in college and I haven't felt this good in probably 10 years.

I hope that you do win your spot in the reboot camp, but in case you don't, I thought that I'd share my experience with you. It might not be the right diet for you, but I think Medifast is certainly worth a quick internet search and some background reading for you. I didn't believe in any of these kind of diets last summer, but I stand here today as a firm backer of Medifast.

Good luck!! (I voted as well!)

Just a diet change you will lose weight. Cut out all processed foods. Sugar white flour anything that has High Fructose Corn Syrup as an ingredient. Over a year ago my heaviest I got up to 220 for me that was heavy. I made a serious change in just my diet. Stopped cold turkey on all processed foods sugar white flour ect... I lost 60lb in just 3 months on diet alone no exercise just diet alone. Ate all fresh veggies fruits and salads for dinner. I lost 20lb just from sodas alone including juices that had added sugar. Go on a Vegan diet for awhile to clean out your system. This is hard to do very hard. Its a way of living to eat better its hard. But you can do it and will be surprised how fast the weight starts dropping off and the feeling of more energy you will feel.
