I have a 135 gallon tank with l25 9 inch, l24 7inch, l273 5 inch, l600 5 inch, l29 3 inch, l240 5 inch, l27c 9 inch, 2 l27 4 inches and 1 albino gib about 8 inches.

The pleco that seems to fight the most is l600 and the l273. I noticed that some of their fins started to get torn. They seem to have their territory next to each other. L24 seems to fight some with albino gib. Tank is full of driftwood. Probably should add some more smaller pieces. I added the l273, l240, l29, and 2 l27 a day ago from my other tanks. So my question is should I wait a few more days to see if they will stop fighting and establish territories. Or move one of them out. Should adding more plecos help? I do have many more i can add but I just dont want any fights to happen and most of my others are 2 to 4 inches.
any input would be nice! thanks

You're mixing aggressive plecos unless you find the right combination you'll always have issues
Adding more will not help you need to separate the trouble makers.

What are you feeding them?

I'm feeding them massive carnivore pellets. Sometimes frozen market prawns. I do see people mixing them but they also have a lot more. I figured the l600 could be a trouble maker. It also fought with l24 before the l273 was introduced. I was going to add a platinum royal and l330 watermelon. and possibly another l24.

You have the most aggressive Plecos there is to have for the most part. You will need to rearrange the tank and have a ton of hiding spots just to help keep it in check, add a bunch of caves that way the males will hang out there instead of fighting possibly.

Good luck

I agree, u need to rearrage the tank, I think it will help alot. Good luck! Post pic of the L27c plsss.

The reason I asked is because you're panaque shouldn't be eating those foods. In the long run you will damage them and end up with sick/dead fish/panaque

You should separate your panaque and keep them with fish who's diets won't conflict with theirs.

You could add more hiding spots but it never really helps they'll find each other and the fighting will continue.
Try moving some fish around and see if that helps. That's the only way I've been able to truly prevent fighting.

Thanks, I will rearrange and add more caves.

I thought panaque can eat those foods as long as they get zuchinni and waffers too? a mixed diet. Thanks ill add more hiding spots and see what happens before moving them around. They seem okay today.
