Pleco and tsn: odd relationship

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The pleco is sucking of the TSN slimecoat, better do something fast before you have a dead fish.

i have heard of plecos "sucking off the slime coat" of other fish, but never actually have seen it. If it was really killing the fish, wouldn't the other fish try and get away from the pleco?

i had the same problem with my tsn and a large pleco if its a common pleco the bigger they get the less cleaning they do they become more carnivorous

and prolly the tsn will eat the pleco before then considering how fast hes growing. we shall seperate them before that happens!

Quick update: pleco has been removed, there were a few questionable spots on tsn lower belly that i couldnt see till he got active. not taking a chance on my Thanksgiving being hurt by my pleco (even if he does like it)! lol, especially where we have space in another tank.

Wise choice
