Get a Blue Panaque Pleco.
And a couple Oscars.
Think you could fit about 5 Oscars in there. But I don't know for sure.

I am only going to do a single pair of Red Tiger Oscars in there with the Pleco. Looking at the Blue Panaque, it's cool looking but smaller than what I'm looking at (from what I'm seeing they top out at 6"). The Royal Pleco and the Sailfin Pleco are the two I'm currently debating between.

That footprint isn't the best for two Oscars. Keep in mind a sailfin pleco can grow 18"+ and will crap like crazy lol. Just those three fish could be a significant bio load in that 110 gallon tank when they are full grown.

I appreciate that info. The truth is I'm sure I'm pushing my limit just because I want something big, and that's not right. Do you feel a Sunshine Pleco (L014) would do better in that size tank? I'm finding they top out around 12"? Also, I think I will pass on the Oscars because I want them in something appropriate when I get them. Do you feel 2 Jack Dempseys and a Sunshine Pleco would be a good combo for that size tank?

As far as size and bio load goes, I believe that combo would be a far better fit. I don't know enough about JD's to say if a pair would work in that size tank without fighting. Hopefully someone with specific knowledge of them can speak up. The L014 (sunshine pleco) would do fine in there. I believe they are from the scobinancistrus genus and will prefer a more meaty diet than most typical pleco diets. So be sure to research dietary needs. Also be aware the L014 can be a bit pricy depending on size.

Thanks for all the help! I absolutely LOVE plecos. I don't know why, they just really appeal to me, so paying the price for an L014 would be ok with me. My theory is that I can spend ~$150 on 3 nice fish, or I can spend about the same on a bunch of smaller fish, and since discovering the Arowana, I don't want small fish anymore haha.

If you want a single fish and the pleco, you could do any fish that gets to around 12" imo.
If you wanted Oscar, You could do one, maybe two in there, definitely not more than that. They have great personality, good wet pets.

Personally, for a "wet pet" fish, I'd get something aggressive that will attack you through the glass as well as beg for food. Amphilophus species like the midas cichlid would be a good choice. Plenty of less common CA cichlids that would work, like: tetracanthus, istlanum, motaguense, lyonsi, plenty more. I would see what you have available to you and do research on them. Most of these fish won't bother a pleco, especially if you keep them together from a smaller size and grow them up together.

Pair of jack Dempsey's would work fine, though I have found them to be one of the more shy CA cichlids, not exactly personable. THough they are nice fish and I'm sure somebody would disagree with me.
