What dose?? 90 gallon w/ others...not QT But if needed I coud set up a 30 with this tanks h2o and a aged filter. Plus, what temp? I'm at 84?? Thanks for the help guys. This guys name is Mr Big Stuff...cause he poops like a cow!

hmmm does anyone agree that other fish will be ok ? i am not sure i think its something like per 5 gallons a tea spoon of salt i think thats right see what others say .

It is simply bacterial infection, not a true fungal infection. Apply mercurochrome on the wound and put the fish in the hospital tank. If mercurochrome is unavailable, get Maracyn and treat it in hospital tank. Doing plenty of water changes help with the recovery quickly as well.

Doesn't matter if it is table salt or "aquarium" salt.

Okay, I already use 1 tbl per 10 gallons theraputic aqua-salt- already high temp, so I'll also try maracyn on wound--I'll keep posted Thanks guys

Use Melafix. 1 teaspoonful to 5 gallons of water. This will not harm any of the other fish at all. I 've been using this product for many years. It is all natural.
