What is the most expensive pleco, one worth breeding and selling?

Before Brazil banned many species from being exported, the zebra pleco would have been my answer. It is still a highly profitable pleco that is relatively easy to breed based on size and success stories. That being said, plecos including L24 and 25 are hard to come by now and also sought after, though they need to be large to breed.

My local fish store is aquascapeonline and they have both plecos you mentioned, l24 and 25. I can drive there in 30 minutes. Also both plecos are big enough to breed.

L046 is probably not worth it IME, they take forever to mature and to recoup any initial cost would take a lifetime.

L260's are nice and when you could get them where im from they were $100 each

Can you breed plecos with discus?

depending on which L# you go with but ideally a species only tank would be best.
