Possibly. Although not a guarantee. I had a BN that was in a tank for a few months, and when I put a chocolate that was 9" the bn killed him over a few days. THe chocolate never had a chance. I doubt that will happen since chaetos have so little armor. But you never know.
 
i had a 6" GN kill a 14" common. GNs can be very agressive when needs be. BNs and chocolates are neither of these fish. ancistrus can be agressive territorial little buggers. a GN would hold its own easily in this case.
 
I have seen my wifes adonis and sultan battle it out, and boy are those two some great fighters. Odd though because they have been together for nearly a year.
 
your sultan might end up dead then as the adonis grows and grows, so seperating them seems like a good idea. my plecos have little scraps, but nothing like what is in that vid, unless its been a recent addition, or them fighting over the best spot but even that is usually just a chase away, like they will do when food is around too
 
That GNP got owned, but I am betting on the GNP in the future.
 
Not likely, they don't fight too severely, just frequently. The sultan is much thicker than the adonis, and will be for a long time.
