Looking for an algae eater for my 60 gal community tank. Wondering which pleco remains around 6-8 inches and does a decent job. Has to live well with my school of cory cats, weather loaches, and half banded spiny eel. No slime sucking on fish. Was also considering siamese algae eaters but they don't have suction so I'm not sure if they can do glass. Suggestions? Nothing too pricey either, basic pleco's but not commons which grow too big.

Bristle nose would be my suggestion.

No slime sucking on fish.
That only happens when the plecos are underfed

They actually do, they are ok when small but turn aggressive when bigger and stop eating algae.

As recommended Bristlenose is the best bet.

if you can find one a L137 Bruno would work but they are pricier I paid $80 for mine but wetspot has one for $40. They are by far the best algae eaters I've every had and they look good doing it

Well from all the responses it looks like I'm getting a bristle nose. What are some necessities, how often do I feed it algae wafers and vegetables, I'm getting a piece of driftwood just for it: Malaysian or Mopani?
