Pleco for 70 gallon tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could have to go with the smaller Royals like L204, LDA001, L002 are just a few that come to mind. You could try getting a 3-4 inch Royal and have it in there as well. Royals grow really slow so would take a long time to outgrow the tank.

This is not always the case. Cichlids are a huge group of fish some can be housed with pleco's others can not just do to there nasty dispositions. Also not all cichlids personalities match there species guidelines which we go by. You could get an oscar which won't hurt a pleco or you could end up with one that will harass it to death. Also not all pleco's should be kept in group due to territorial disputes between themselves.

Let me re-phrase myself. In my experience I've NEVER had an issue with cichlids and plecos living together. Cichlids I keep: 10" Breidohri's,8" GT, 8" Red Festaes, 12" Mobas, 10 Argentea's, 8" Bifa's, Synspilums. The only issue i have is with the Vieja's beating each other up but never plecos. Now I never kept the super aggressive cichlids like, Black Nasty, Dovi's, Umbee's. So I can't speak for those cichlids. As for what plecos I keep, I keep them all from all sizes 3" - 12". View my threads. Therefore I can only speak from my experience, but then again i don't always follow the rules. =Þ

Does anyone have any pictures of the l002 pleco. It kept coming up with loads of different types of plecos

I have found a pleco that I really like it's the sunshine pleco but don't no anything about it if you could give me some info I'd really appreciate it

Sunshines, Three Beacons, Vampires, Green or Blue Phantoms are all good starter plecos and easy to find...
