. I have a large variety of plecos including several pseudacanthicus species in with my flowerhorn, Red tiger Motoguensis, Black Arowana, a butt load of polypterus etc..etc.. They are more than capable of defending them selves once established and comfortable in a tank. If you don't believe me, try picking up a large pseudacanthicus sp. barehanded. I promise you wont try it twice!! jconley;1856356; said:Just curoius, but why are looking to get a pleco? They make terrible tank cleaners, creating FAR more waste than you would think. Also they come with a whole host of their own dietary requirements: fresh fruits, veggies, raw shrimp, squid, fish fillets.....
I guess my point is don't get one expecting it to "magical keep your tank spotless" (it might but this would be the exception, NOT the rule!), get one simply because you like them.
