PLECO For High PH?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the back up is you with a gravel vac. If you want to add a syno or whatever, do so because you like it, because it will still add to the bioload and negate any cleanup role

To gravel vac after every feeding seems a bit excessive for my case... as for the bioload of a cleanup fish, I fully understand, I just want a fancy pleco which will help with the cleanup, just don't know what will be able to handle the PH.

I would'nt worry so much about the PH if you acclimate the fish, but I would worry about mixing plecos with african cichlids. Certain ones can be very aggresive toward plecos. I would stick with a syno. Maybe a few multipunctatus, petricola, or an euruptus for a few suggestions.
