Exactly, probably all the "commons" in the same genus have been crossed by now. Look how similar P. disjunctivus and P. pardalis are... those would be an easy mistake to throw them together.

Quite true. As well, being a 'common pleco', the breeding facilities probably didn't care, and just threw them together, even if they did notice a difference.

Nope asian fish monger down at chinatown, best place to haggle lol. Thanks guys! Sorry the jack kept getting in the way, he's such a camera whore it took forever. Surprisingly this pleco isn't shy at all comes out with the lights on and likes to glare at me.
