I need an id on the pleco. My guess on his size is around 7".

The pleco has a camo. pattern with a yellow/green outline on the tail.

looks like a pineapple plec possibly

knifegill-" Rhino? Got more pics? That one's kind of weird"

I will get more pics up tonight. I puchased him as a rhino pleco, but his color has changed completely since I got him.

Thanks.

Just looks like a stressed sailfin to me (whatever it is, it's definitely stressed, which makes it more difficult to id).

The slope of the head looks too steep to me for it to be a rhino. From what I've seen, rhinos tend to have more vertically compressed heads

It isn't streesed. I purchased it when it was little so I have had it for awhile now. It's color has changed from solid dark green ( when he was around 2") to green/yellow pattern as it has matured. I guess it is a rhino pleco afterall then. It's body is VERY thick, and it can even be hand fed. It comes right up to the surface of the water at feeding time, and is very laid back.

BTW: It was puchased as a sailfin rhino pleco from aquabid. He is NOT a regular sailfin pleco. I have one of them. They express more spots while this pleco has more of a stripe pattern.

Not my pleco, but here is a reg. sailfin pleco: They also have albino sailfins which I would love to get one of them.

So it is always that color? That's weird, I have never seen a pleco that's always like that, normally they only do that when you turn the lights on or walk up to the tank and look at them.
