My common pleco will be sitting on the wall of my aquarium munching away on algae then will flip off the wall real quick and a couple quarter to nickel sized bubbles will come from his belly or mouth and float to the surface. He isn't sitting above the airstone when this happens.
Is this normal? What's going on?

The get air so they can float better..better biuyancy to float around and hold on to the sides....our your water needs more air ...or Maybe your water is poor quality? Have you checked the water lately?
