pleco meat as fish food???

I've seen grey and pink catfish fillets. -Same species different diet. Huge difference. When you hand feed them a balanced diet- or when they scavenge just the worst organic waste in the water. Eating something that just sucked on a submerged dead possum is probably not ideal.

I don't know, but while the dead possum might change the taste, I don't think it will affect your health once its been through your body. Look at commercial aquaculture and see what they feed the fish, especially catfish and tilapia, that you then eat.

the catfish in my families pond are fed well- so they don't have to scavenge. Same thing with QUALITY fish.
I know where my fish comes from and what they eat-when I do buy from the store it's a health food co-op- pricier yes but with less mercury and runoff involved
Buy cheap catfish farmed in china if you want.
Fish them out of a metropolitan river.
I'll stick to what doesn't taste like mud LOL
FYI the best catfish joints always have a pond in the back (or front)
