pleco newbie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
try some potato for the golden nugget and be extremly carefull of your water conditions any spikes in amonnia and nitrate will probably kill him they are very sensitive

one important thing you should know that every body has missed is that you should never buy any fish without first researching what it is you are buying.. this is very important especially if you have a small tank and other fish already in there. i cant stress this point enough.

All my panaque pleco crazy on carrots..and sometime with sinking pallets.

My plecos will eat anything. Lettuce, Alage discs, Pellets, Krill, theyll pretty much scavenge anything.

Carrots and cabbage somtimes are always good for my Pleco. Along with the wafers thrown in for the nutrients and such, he seems pretty happy and very active.

Im surprised nobodies mentioned the need for DRIFTWOOD?!?!

my pleco prefers to feed on the surface flake food by floating upside down, rather than eat any veggie stuff. is cool though 'cause he'll let you stroke his belly.

very interesting .....................................

Look up the specific species, many plecos do require driftwood.
