So I have given my common Pleco zucchini and cantalope and he has loved it every time. Especially the zucchini! Have been thinking of giving him a strawberry to see if he likes it? Any one ever give thier Pleco any thing like this?

mine used to like nectarine before he was eaten ...

but he was a rubber lip

different plecos like different kinds of fruits and vegetable some only like the peel while thers only like the flesh look it up online its super cool

yeah i am very interested in this as well, right now my little sailfin just eats algae wafers but once he is a little larger i want to add zucchini to his diet and was also wondering what else was good for them besides zucchini, though i think you should stick more with veggies, i think fruits would be too sugary and not have as much nutritional value

Here's DEXTER! Nom Nom Nom!

Pleas forgive the small tank, we are setting up a 75 gallon this weekend so this is only temporary for him.

Mine has had cucumber, zucchini, yellow squash, cantalope, and even watermelon. I often wonder what else he would eat up. Nice pleco btw! How big is he?

He is about 6-8 inches inches and about 6-7 years old. Definitely needs a bigger tank which is why we are taking him up to a 75 gallon. We have him in a 20 long right now as a temp tank until the 75 is cycled and ready.

My sailfin won't eat much of anything besides algae wafers. The only thing other than algae wafers that it has ever paid any attention to was watermelon (just the green-white part).

Kool, mine is 11.5 in a 75g and I hope to move him into a tank that's 100+ gallons sometime in the hopefully not too distant future
