Pleco on floor this morning...

plecos can live a long time out of water.. more than most fish. and they can survive some of the nastiest crap water too..

one of the plecos i used to have was found in a puddle in a tank that someone put out for the trash.. the guy grabbed it and washed it off in the sink and put it in his aquarium. i got him and a red devil when i bought the aquarium.

Mine did the same found him in the studio ... all dried out .

poor lil guy.. people have found them 12+ hours later all dried out and dead looking.. tossed them in some water and had them fully recover...

Thats odd... If I woulda put him back in, my africans would harassed him or ate him.

oh no...thats horribl. In the canals here ive seen plecos leap pretty high ot of the water and make big splooshed while fishing, but i dont know why. I know sometimes they come up for air and maybe they were herrassed. Although my cousin has gone through about 10 plecos lost to africans and none jumped out tough..weird. sorry for ur loss

Ya I dont like to keep anything with africans, especially adult africans.. Thanks, but luckily he was free.
