a common will get anywhere between 12" and 2 ft depending on which "common" your lfs is selling, the gibby will get around 18" just incase you dont want something to big. if your going to do it, i'd get one of the armoured ones

Rhino x 3 each about 8 inches
My cichlids dont bother them too much but, I have had 2 plecos completly dissapear in the past 5 years.

5 common of various sizes in my mixed mbuna/s.american tank. They do fine once they're over 3in and cheap enough to replace. I don't put any of my rare pleco's in there though. . . there's still a bit of a risk. Most cichlids won't mess with your plecos.
