So I guess this is what I get to look forward to once they grow up more? Right now my largest L114 (4.5 inches SL) stays hidden in a log, waiting for me to drop food through the observation hole.

Oh yah lol

I had a huge l-600 and l-114 and once they get to 11"+ they do not stay hidden and they take over the tank. They are very pushy plecos and when it's time to eat they get very pushy.

Thank you for the information everyone! It has given me quite a lot to start researching from. :P I think I am addicted to PlanetCatfish now!

A question about hypans and other more carnivorous, small plecos: Do they become aggressive to other bottom dwellers (like cories) or slower moving fish? Also, I see Hypans includes the zebra pleco! Nomi like!

Any other suggestions for a plant safe, peaceful 'showpiece' bottom dweller under 5"?

There are many breeders here in Ontario of hypans who keep their adults with corys and also raise the fry together.

Awesome! I may have to look some of those breeders up once my tank is cycled. Any in the western GTA area that you know of?

My opinion...2 bristlenose plecos. I put 2 in mine and not only do I have NO algae but I have baby PLECOS!!!!

Not sure where they live but most are easy to get to and get a hold of.

Canadapleco gets awesome tank raised hypans from a super breeder lol great prices and great selection of healthy fish from good people.

I would say albino bristle nose or maybe a butterfly, they are both nice looking.
