Try some long fin albino or brown bushy nose. If you want to spend a little more you might try some long fin blue eyed albino bushy nose. I think they are some of the nicest you will see. I've always liked the Queen Arabesque (L260)and Lepord Frogs (L134) as well. The ancistrus (bushy nose) don't hide all the time but some of the others you mentioned will hide rather often. I also like a Flash L204). Their strips are brighter yellow when young and start to narrow and darken with age.

that gets to big for a 40 gal but i think a butterfly pleco would work and they are pretty neat lookin to
