Pleco to fit my needs

traded 2 JD fry for my Gibby that was 12 inches at the time.
 
I would go with a bristle nose pleco or sailfin pleco aka gibbacipe. Both will clean the heck out of a tank and they are affordable. The sailfin do get a little larger than 12" tho. Both of the plecos I mention you can get in albino some people prefer albino cause it easy on the eyed.

GOLD NUGGET and PHANTOM, mainly fancy pleco DO NOT CLEAN they just look cool.
 
bristle not real good cleaners, they are very territorial. i have had some that chased jags away,

One of the best cleaner I ever kept. Got a buddy who breed them in 7 of his tanks, tanks are spotless.
Also maybe which your jags for some dovii so they can chase the bristle away.
 
no dovii my largest tank is a 180, need at least 250 for dovii pair, and nothing else.
 
going to stick to my jag tank, Oscar tank, JD tank and 75g grow out and the 34g grow out. :)
