i got a new pleco today and he is only 3" long, he is in a unplanted tank right now, but my question is when i put him in the planted tank will he eat the plants?

i don't know what type but would say a "common" pleco, it is in a 10 unplanted, but will go in a 20l with lots of algae, driftwood, and some amazon sword
