pleco?

I am not going to do it. I asked then people said it was bad so I asked what else would be a good idea. The RES doesn't have a soft shell either. But I am not saying that as a reason to try the pleco. Like I said I won't put him in there.

i glad you keep good care of your plecs. most people who buy them for algea eating purposes dont but really they dont eat much algea

I only got pleco's after finding this site, there was one before in my tank but he ate left over food and algae. Also was old when I got him. But when I got my new ones I knew they ate the other things so I feed them that also. But mine eat algae which is why I asked about it. So I am not starving them. What algae products will be fine with turtles? I would use a scrubber but I have bad back issues and stress my back out enough with what I do already. So this isn't me being lazy just trying to avoid more pain then I have to. There isn't really any algae now so I am asking a head of time. Also my asking was my dad got two pleco's without my knowing and the only other tank they can go into in the turtle tank. So it wasn't mainly for algae. Both pleco's are to small to go with my oscars and am not going to risk one getting killed.
