pleco

Yes as was stated cactus plecos are cool but slow growers . Plus they hide all the time. You will not find an L-24 and my 8 inch (who is not 11 inch) L-114 cost me $405 bucks with shipping from aquascape.com 3 years ago. At this size though they never hide much. Check out an L-14 sunshine pleco they are very colorful and grow faster than the cactus IMO and are very active even in the daytime.

i think im gonna go haggle the guy on the green phantom. i have plenty of foods for it to eat but what type of veggies would they like? im sure my cichlids would like a little too

Zucchini, Squash, sweet potatoe, asparagus, green beans, green peppers, leafy lettuce...

Tilapia, shrimp, silversides, sand eels, krill....

They will pretty much eat anything and everything. My L200 won't even wait until the zucchini was anchored down. He attaches to it as soon as I stick my hand in the tank.

The key is variety.
