I know that some of my plecos don't eat those wafers also will help to have driftwood in the tank and offer it some zucchini slices (weight it down in tank)

and thats not to say that zucchini won't work but they tend to mess up my water as compared to cucumber

Thats because cucumber is like 90% water and as such contains very little nutritional value. Zucchini is the far better choice imo
 
try throwing in a algae wafer with the lights off , watch him to see if he eats but from a distance where he cant see you but you can see him , maybe hes scared of you and probably has to adapt to his new environment
 
You don't have to. If you blanch it you can drop it and it should just sink and be there for him to munch on but it isn't gonna hurt if you do and might offer him the nutrition faster
 
If you cook it, you'll lose the nutritional properties. Get a veggie clip.
