Hi this is the 2nd winter ive brought my pleco in for the winter, hes grown since last winter and hes in a 30 gallon, what im asking is , will that be ok just for the winter mos. then hes going back in pond. Hes maybe 10 inches in length. Also how long should i wait before i feed him , how long till he adjusts to the water temp change, the pond was 50 and the aquarium is about 72. Any help will be appreciated, thank you

When bringing fish in I let them sit in a bucket of pond water with a bubbler in it. Then over an hours time I’ll slowly add tank water to get it up to temp.
Once it’s up to temp I’ll place them in the tank/pond that’s waiting for them.

It might be possible to keep it in a 30 that’s over filtered with daily water changes. No other fish adding to the bio load.
And I’d feed it daily.
Mine enjoys zucchini, algae wafers, and a variety of sinking pellets. He even eats lemon from time to time.
