I have commons in all my tanks. None of the cichlids mess with them, maybe because they don't know what the h*ll they are!

i have a very large pleco that visits my african tank occationally and i noticed that the africans pick on him, theyre smalland fast and he sleeps in the day so hes an easy target but they are fish that can take ALOT of abuse and once the africans satisify their curiousity they leave him alone aand everything is fine
