Plecos with Anubias

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would say go for it! As Lupin said the leaves are pretty tough and I dont think they are tasty for plecos. My only problems with holes in the leaves were due to algae growth on the leaves cuz I had kinda high phosphates (from over feeding). But since I've got my levels down I haven't had any trouble with my L200 chewing on my leaves.

I've always heard that Anubias are good with herbivores, since the leaves are tough, they tend to leave it alone.

My common was fine with anubias, just let the roots settle a little or he will love uprooting

I keep 2 royals with anubias and have no issues at all with them eating the plant.

The snails are the issue!
