Plecos with Polys

well i have 2 albino polys now
and thinking about buying a marble sailfin
worth the risk?

How small will the plec be . I ad one with my bichirs and all he did was piss them off by knocking into them he may also take a likin to the slime coat

yes and no... i dont have any personal experience with the sailfin, but i keep 2 common plecos with no problems but i used to keep a bristlenose pleco that sucked on the polys...

yea i think that is the only viable problem sucking off the slime coat
ill have to get the poly more hiding spots just to be safe

no i wouldnt try it
i had a rhino plec in my tank till about 14 inches then the slime sucking started lost two bichirs

good point estuary i have another tank i can throw them in anyhow just in case anything goes bad

I have a common placo in with my senegal they stay away from each other. I have never seen my pleco suck on a slime coat so far. You should try it. If it doesn't work, take the pleco out. It all depends on the individual fish.

It all depends. I've had a couple plecs that suck on polys and I've had one or two that didn't. Try it and be prepared to move fish around.
