Plus I don't think the pleco mistook the fish or frogs for plants or a wall, as it would follow them everywhere and you could see the fish trying to swim away (or in the frog's case, trying to kick it off) and plants and walls don't swim away.
Plecos are not picky. If it has a slime coat, a pleco will suck on it. Not a habit you can break it of. And so not worth it in my opinion.
Now many people may say it works and so on and so on. I thought so too because I had that pleco for years before it did that( or maybe I never noticed it before?). But that pleco was ALWAYS well fed. So that myth has been debunked for me.
