13" common,
question is that too much for a 140ltr tank?

I would say thats a problem right there :nilly:

I'd be looking for a bigger tank about now, probably up around the 400 litre range. Will give you room for your other plecs as they grow as well.

3 borno butterfly

I assume you mean hillstream loaches? I would consider setting up a seperate tank for them too. They prefer cooler high oxygen water. But they only grow small so dont need a huge tank.

A good article on Hilstream Loaches - http://www.loaches.com/articles/hillstream-loaches-the-specialists-at-life-in-the-fast-lane

i have just put in sum slate shelfs into my tank 3 layers high at out end and planty at the other, all but my king tger and royal have all adopted an area alone with my red-tail black shark, the 12 tiger barbs love the plants and so do my neons, i have 3 shimps and 2 loachs cleaning my floor. i have dark blue moon lights for at night to watch my plecs out and again much enjoy. just need another tank really lol
thanks

That's a pretty stocked tank, keep testing you water to check you have low nitrates etc. Welcome to an addiction! Make sure you read the dietry thread, your royal will need wood!

check every-other day n every sat morning i fill my external filter up ( close the return pipe) empty out and siv my bio gravel with cold water, wash out my filter and fill it up again with fresh water return to the tank, i spent alot on a test kit, i would like to breed in time, time will tell
thanks

My pleco reached 20 inches. Not sure what kind. He was dark, with the usual speckling. I had them bred once, in a cave I made of slate. They layed goldish coloured eggs. Very pretty. I belive these fish breed at an early age, they were no more than 3" when this happened. It sounds like a bigger tank is a good idea. Then you can seperate the larger variety between the two tanks. The ID in my avatar is 25" long. 15+ years old. If a fish has the cappability of growing large, it will and won't stop. Good luck I to am addicted.
