Hey do the local fish stores in B.C still have Pleuros? I'll pay you to ship some over to Toronto.

Yep we got small pleuros here for $12 but your from Toronto. They are ban from your area. No snakeheads for you.

Have seen them once at $40 each, but was trying to order some in. Have decided to try and get bleheri instead due to tank size needed for a pack of pleuro.

I tried to comm a 1/2 size pleuro with 3 endlicheri. It was eaten within a week. Snakehead are very slender like fish and bichirs are great a swallowing fishes like that, so make sure that your pleuro is not too small to be swallowed. Bichirs are tough fish, mine is harrassed by a large odoe pike and suffers little harm. Tough scales.

what is a pleuros? show me some picture please? :)

Anyway, I've 2 senegals and florida gars, can I add in a chana bleheri with them?
oh and how large channa bleheri can get?

hope i'm in the right thread for this question

Your florida gar and senegal bichir will eat the c. bleheri. They get up to around 6"+ in aquaria and need subtropical temp which is not ideal for a senegal bichir. Also a pleuro will kill the bleheri or eat it. Also not a good mix as pleuros are tropical snakheads.

I have a pair of Channa Bankanensis with a tire track eel. Had the Channa since they were about 2 Inch long, when they hit about 5 inchs, the eel was added, it was about 12 inchs already when i added him to the tank. Channa looked as if they would bother him to beging with bout hes settled down into his own little spot in som Bogwood and neither pay each other any attention now. That said have to keep an eye on him feeding as if he gets to the meal worms, morio's or bloodworm fish Channa have a tendancy to play "Mine" and steal it from his mouth!
