Can someone help me out with what this is? It does not look good. It looks like fish hemmoroids or something. I just raised the temperature to 84 and added some aquarium salt because i think another fish has a lil ick on it. it looks like it's getting better. i just noticed this hemmoroid fish today that wasn't there yesterday or this morning.

here are some pictures.

the ick fish, see a few splotches to the bottom right of his dorsal? and that dot on his tail fin?

At first sight I think camellanus. But it's hard to tell from these shots for sure.

knifegill, thanks for your response! i appreciate your time and help!

i copied this from another forum i posted it up in:

you said it!! you go a little crazy eating and you've gotta blocked intestine!! being a fish would suck! i just took some more pictures of them. i dunno if i said it in this post...cuz i posted this thread in the other cichlid forums to see what kinda answers i could get. anyways...i found my old betta tank and hung it on the side of my tank with some magnets. im gonna use my powerhead to agitate the water a little. i just gotta keep an eye on em so they don't get sucked in.

it's really hard getting the the temp. up. i tried to bring it up to 86, but my heater's not going that high...it's staying at 84. i feel so bad for them...they're all figgity when i go by the tank.

anyways...check out the pictures.

oh yeah...and fish #2 w/ the hemmoroids...she's still got her appetite. she was eating all those peas up, hope it clears her up. fish#1 doesn't seem like he's got an appetite.

It looks like it may be a prolapsed rectum. I had this problem before. Heres what you do.

Do a big water change. 80% to remove the salt you added. Add Epsom salt(Magnesium Sulfate) to the water. Take a small cup, and distilled or bottled water.. About 8 oz of water. Add Epsom salt to fill half of the water. Stir well. Take the solution you just mixed and soak any type of pellet you feed your fish. Keep up this treatment for 5 days. Replace Epsom salt in water after each water change if you do daily water changes.

Good luck.

Water, thanks for your input! after the 80% water change...how much epsom salts do i add to the tank? and then how much salt do i add to the 8oz water solution? after i let the food soak in there, i feed it to them?

so do i do this epsom salt solution for each time i feed my fish?

lol...i can't use the donut pillow. but could use my ushaped airplane neck pillow, there's a cutout for her dorsal fin.

keep the water pristine and feed lots of plant matter salts may help med wise i don't know of anything that will help as long as they are eating and pooping keeping do the above imo unless someone else can help with experience.

1 table spoon for every 5 gallons.

I made an error that I forgot to change. It should be 4 ounces of water. Add I believe.. 2 table spoons. Take a cup/container/dish of some sort. Place the food you're going to feed your fish. Take a pipette, take some of the solution and squirt it over the food. Let it soak for about 10-20 secs then feed it to your fish immediately.

*Keep in mind that you should not be using Aquarium salt at all during this treatment.

Sorry for the error.
