I just looked through Dr. Axelrods journal and found someone very similiar to him .. here is picture.. very much the same pattern..it is called Gymnotus Coatesi which is a rare knife..

Yes, that pic does look similar to this knife. Possibility of it being a coatesi sp. is there.And with a reference book like yours, I'll be tempted to collect all the knives listed in there

i know... i would love to collect them too.. they do not come to the LFS though..my LFS who sold me mine.... said he was ordering more... haha i knew they're would be no more.. i walked in the other day and asked him if he got anymore.. {trying to hold a straight face} he said No Liz... for some reason i am having trouble getting them... i finally told him everything..{now i will never get another one
