Contact lupin on how to treat for internal parasites...he might just be on a hunger strike rite now...

The fact that it's always been kinda skinny leads me to to think that it could be some kind of deformity. If it has parasites then it's had them since I put him in my tank a year ago. As you can see in my avatar he was already skinny a while back even when he was eating regularly. But if this is a hunger strike it's one hell of a hunger strike that even Kate Moss couldnt outdo.

try wax worms, mealworms.....uhm some type of bug

Tried those too and he just ignores them as they sink to the bottom of the tank. As a matter of fact, just to get him to mouth food I would have to coax him into mouthing it by making it dance in front of the glass just to have him spit it out when I finally toss it in. It's just so much trouble trying to get him to eat. I've already starting fishing this morning for a replacement in preparation for it's death by starvation.

El do? Or alondra?

icic....well what you are treating the parasites with might help..What do you all have in the native tank?

Good news it actually ate a little tonight. With the lights off I got its attention and threw tiny pieces of market shrimp in there when it looked like he was anticipating. Out of 5 small pieces of shrimp, he swallowed 4. He only spat 1 out, which the crawdad is taking care of as I type. I guess he gets the munchies when the lights are out. Definitely encouraging. Let's see how tomorrow goes.
