Pls help, My 4" oscar is breathing heavy and not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi,

I noticed 2 days ago my oscar (out of no where) started to breath really heavy... get really lazy and stop eating..

he is 4" in a 180g tank , all levels are good and tankmates are not fighting.. he is the aggressor ist here is fighting, most the time

. i noticed today he is swimming a little weird/wobbly and now i saw him flash 2xs.. at 1st i though he was stressed but now i think it may be a parasite.. pls help, thx!

Yea search the stickies, it might be more effective/faster to use a hospital tank, and hopefully not spread to other tankmates

Salt rather then parasite treatment?... I don't have a hospital tank but I do have an empty 10g.. Would that do? Thx all

How much salt needed for a 180g , thx

i might have to use a parasite guard.. i just noticed him flash.. 2xs.. so im guessing he has some kind of parasite... whats the best method and treatment..

good idea.. thanks jaws

No prob bud.... hope he gets better quick
