It looks like a lower quality ST to me. One thing I have noticed with my ITs is that they look a lot different than my STs when they are stressed and unstable. My STs just get darker overall, but with my ITs, the light section gets dark and the stripes get lighter. This fish is displaying the general darkness that I don't usually see with my ITs.

BTW I really like the blotchy stripes.

I have made the same observations with my own dats and agree this is ST.

ST or IT the bars looks great.
btw the fish's eyes look huge!there might be a possibility that its a stunted fish/

big eyes are another trait of IT :D

I am beyond suprised there is this many people thinking ST. To me its an obvious IT.

Its no where near as tall enough to be ST of that size.

The tail strips say IT.

The middle bar doesn't tapper back at all, just the front part of the middle bar stops. This goes along with the overall look of the "blotchy" bars. Every bar is broken a bit, and the middle bar is no different. So the bars all go strait down.

I also aggree with T1k again, the large eyes are a IT trait.

Let me just say that I am saying all this for the sake of argument, not because I don't think the fish is nice. Its a beautiful Indo and I would deff keep it if I had it.

Nice IT!!

if the owner feels happyer thinking its ST let him think that then he wont take it back and swap it again :D

the LFS owner def knows his tigers and what he can palm off as ST :grinno:

I really doubt the LFS knows dats...I have NEVER been to a LFS that knew anything to speak of about dats and I have been to alot of fish stores in the US from ones in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana...you get the idea...

that fish looks really emaciated the eyes and fins look huge compared to its body.
i think it needs a rood few months of being fed up to get it in good condition.
at the moment it does look like an IT but this may change after a couple of months TLC.
give it a few months and post pics of it again.
