plse ID Channa

it was my initial guess but saw a similar pictured fish in a magazine labelled Channa sp. Violet Snakehead. Not cheap, don't want to pay up for it unless it is infact a barca.

If not, and you are going to buy this, be VERY careful that it isnt a scam as I am sure (could be wrong) that I have seen these photos before on another forum a very long time ago. maybe ***********?
Anyhoo, get it if you can but be aware . . .

these are photos off my camera, taken today.

if it's not a barca, what could it be? pretty sure it's not the auran. but have seen online discussions of a barca look alike stewartii... but not enough info to confirm.

These are strictly 22C max water temp sub-tropical water fish, correct?


are there 3 kinds of barca?
