The other thing you could do to get the skimmer up a little is drop the water level in the pool a little bit. Would also help against the sharks jumping out

Yeah, I'm going to use a combination of things - cut down the downdraft towers so they're level with the fractionator, raise the skimmer and lower the pool level, and some fancy pressurized check valves.

My skimmer problem for today is that we have them on a wood floor, which warped (go figure that water would warp wood) and the skimmer is leaning against the wall now - and all the PVC has been torqued and twisted.
