plywood and glass 18x6x4

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd build it for you if i was closer lol...thats a major project tho. How much you looking to spend on the whole thing?

Well, what a way to introduce a member to MFK :screwy:

Anyway, most of what I can help with has been aforementioned. have you thought about it detailed though? Being that big it's going to be a pita to move about, so unless it's in a place that it will stay and not move, you may want to consider making it a tad smaller.

Also what building materials do you want to use. I'd say using concrete would be the easiest way perhaps, but then it would most likely be a permanant structure in your house/shed/fishroom. Would that detract from the value of your house incase you wanted to move later on in life?

Lastly, besides the origonal cost of building such a large object, the running costs would be quite high. A large amount of filteration would be needed, and sometimes (not always) that equals a large electricity bill. Are you stable enough to be forking out that much money on the tank alone, plus the rest of your houses energy? What about water changes? Is it in a place that you can deposit 2500L of water per water change? Can you get the water to put back in the tank aswell? Thats added cost on your running cost.

So, you ready? :naughty:

Okay, so since you have them drawbacks set aside, what do you want to do know? Do you want somebody to draw up blue prints? I can do a google sketch up of your tank if that what you wish?
