Is there anyway to save my silver? He's about 10" and he's in a 55 gal, with another silver about 8". Here's the problem, I got back from a trip about a week ago, and I noticed some minor fin rot going from the edge of the bottom fin to the tip of the tail :WHOA:. Currently, the 55 gal is located outdoors because I'm fixing my 140 gal. The tank is in a shaded area. I did a couple of 50% water changes and added some salt as well. Today, when I got home from work, he practically looks half dead !! He's still slowly swimming at the surface (floating) but his body slowly sinks tail first. He swims up to the top and only sinks again!! What can I do to save him:confused:? All suggestions are welcomed, thanks, you guys rock!

sorry, too late, once he starts swimming head up or head down, its too late. The fin rot would've been from unclean water.

yea dude i think you should check da pH and water params

WOW.. dang.. how were u able to house 2 arowa with THAT much lengeth difference..

My 10" beat up my 7" silver and i had to give it away..

I wouldnt house two in a 55 gallon..

Only one at least..

Anyways.. like veryone said.. once they swim up or down.. its end game.. Arowana's almost never recover after that...
