try lowering the temp...

That's not good advice given the fact that you don't know the current temp. The fin rot is probably caused by poor water parameters. You may want to try doing daily 25% waterchanges combined with salt until the fish either dies or comes around. You need to keep your water pristine to have any chance of this fish making it. Don't give up until the fish is actually dead.

Salt, Pimafix and Melafix... Cured the " I have no idea what the @#$# it is"!
Its only a little bit of fin rot and no cuts so id only do the salt. But if hes sinking head up or head down, its gone...

Not necessarily...I have had fish in this shape pull through. Some people just give up too easily.

If hes sinking and then swims back up, and then sinks again, its swim bladders busted, ive never seen an arowana pull through this. Its not that we give up too easily, its that once it reaches that stage, its past the limit of saving. And i dont think you should've put that tank outside, probably something got into it, or maybe the temp goes down at night and your aros got a shock from the change in temp.

Based on the little bit of info we have...you are going to diagnose him with a busted swim bladder? From what? The fish may just be weakened from being sick and doesnt have the muscle power to balance himself properly. Either way...keep trying until the fish IS actually dead.

if he was too weak to balance him self, hed be swimming with his head or tail up. In this case, hes SINKING...when a fish starts sinking its not too weak to balance himself, its weak becuase its almost damn dead. Even fish in traquilizers dont do that. They FLOAT. This one is FLOATING, its SINKING. Get it through your head. If it was swimming fine except his head or tail was pointing up, then theres alot of things that could've caused it...if you were a doctor, and a patient comes in with some uncurable disease, would you still give him medication which'll stress him out even though you know it wont work?

Clean water and a mild salt treatment will never stress an aro out. I'm just tring to give this poor fish a chance. even if it does die at least he would have tried to save it...that's the kind of doctor I would want. Thank god you aren't my doctor. This fish probably will die, but why not try? Apparently you just don't give a crap.

mild salt treatment was not what you said lol. "melafix and pimafix", what happened to that? During my time at the farm, I found out many things, one of which is to not use meds until last resort as they stress your aro out. If it was just salt treatment, then its fine, but you're forgetting aquafreak said to use melafix and pimafix. And you say I dont give a crap? If i didnt give a crap, id have already told the guy to just freeze the fish and throw it out already.

true try your best man GL =( hope da poor fish can hang in there
