  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
gorilla crab.

banish it to your sump.

they kill anything that they can get their claws on :D

oh i dont have a sump. i took the crab out of the tank already but i dont know is there any left in that rock. cuz my sixline wrasse usually sleep in a hole at the nite time but now i only saw him sleeping on the sand with something around him. so i wondering is there any more those kinda crab left

How do you know your blenny was killed by something? Did it show signs of injury? I mean before death as well, because once something dies, its free food for any omnivor/carnivor in your tanks, I've seen passive worms eat whole dead fish, even though they could never kill one. Because a number of "algae" blennies have been known to do poorly in captivity by eating the to much of the "wrong" type of algae resulting in bloating/death.

cuz on fri i bought a new liverock then on sat when i turn on the light the blenny is sleeping on the sand but the blenny ususlly sleep in a hole but then i didnt notice there is sth wrong. on sat nite my gf was looking at my tank n she told me she saw sth in the hole of the liverock like a shrimp or crab try come out so quick to grab the sixline wrasse when he swim beside the liverock. then on sun when i turn on the light i saw the blenny was on sand and his tail is gone, fins ar half gone and girll is damage so i put him in a tray but then he die in two hours. now even my sixline wrasse doesnt sleep in the liverock hole at nite now.

Yep sounds like he was killed by the crab then. I doubt that there is more then one. Just take your rocks out and shine a light into any holes to see if there is anything else moving around inside, and to see if anything is hiding between the rocks. Again I would be surprized if there was something else that "dangerous" in them.

One of the reason's when I start fresh on a new bigger tank in the future... start with dry rock good with the fish tank hope now all goes well

Haha i do the opposite, I start with uncured live, so I get as many hitchers as possible... though I QT it for a few weeks with in a tank traps to capture any predators that mite be living in the rock, then decide what to do with them from there.
