PLZ NEED HELP ASAP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm here. Sorry about not getting to you earlier, Syndicate. I have been sick with flu for two weeks so I had been a bit scarce lately, something I don't usually do but with work as well, it's keeping me away from my usual online activity here.

I find it very unusual you lost a large number of loaches this way. Even if your temperature is that warm, your loaches should have tolerated it much better than most fish. Have you observed the previous ones doing labored breathing? If so, oxygen deprivation may be the main issue here. Do your filters produce vigorous surface agitation? What unusual behavior have you observed from your loaches? No erratic swimming patterns?

What test kit do you use? Are they test strips? If so, I'd switch to API drops to get a much more accurate set of test results. What other fish do you keep with them? Clown loaches can be a little sensitive to water conditions but I'd be surprised if you have much more delicate tankmates that survive anything the loaches never did.

Should be plenty of o2 heaps wet n dry sump n the return breaks the suface of tanks water. I use API drops always . I've noticed the ones that die start rolling on there side while still but Swim fine also they all where still eating bloodworm even while acting strange

death count is up to 28 lupin heres some pics

Now I am pretty sure this isn't an oxygen issue. This is really puzzling me. Do you have a spare tank? Move the remaining survivors there and treat with praziquantel. Have you tried cutting up any of the dead loaches to find out any internal damage?

nah i havent cut any open dont know what id be looking for.. i do have a spare tank but would have to buy the meds

i set that tank up for clown loach high stream like flow with lots off oxygen

Are these loaches new or have you had them awhile? Could just be a bad batch of loaches, or maybe they didnt adjust right to your tank from previous tank.

have them from 1 inch n under
