PLZZZZ HELP !!! What should I do with my gar !!!!??

poor gar. If it eats let it live. it would more than likely survive in the wild if it could eat. I cannot keep gars in glass tanks anymore. Its heartbreaking. Got mine in a black plastic stock tank and it NEVER bangs off anything anymore
 
No need to put it down, try to reposition the mouth shut or tape it up. My oscar once tried eating an oto and while doing my own surgery on him i messed up his mouth but I repositioned it and though somewhat crooked, he can still open and close now that it's healed. The mouth/jaw will heal, the question is how funny it will look (appearance), that's up to you. Try to make it so he can use it at least to some degree.
 
man that sucks he must of hit the side HARD hope he gets better soon and yeah i agree with plecostic you should reposition it and it should heal as long as hes eating he should make it good luck!
 
Colve oil + some surgen screws and re allign the jaw from the broken park making it straight then take it out after its healed but easier said then done since my dads a Dr and has helped me with something like this

Ouch, that does look pretty bad... is it basically his lower jaw thats just hanging there?

Anyway, i guess as someone above mentioned, maybe post this in the gar section and see what some of the experts say in there?
