You just inspired me to keep my big midas male.
I traded in about 1/3 my stock to make more room - got rid of 1 female barred midas out of the 4 I had, and I have an exploding male barred midas. Grew from 6" to 10" in the last 3 mths, and is getting REALLY thick. I thought I would bring him to another petshop that actually wanted him, but after seeing this AWESOME specimen, I will keep mine and hopefully he will develop into half the fish you have shared with us. I guess all of us Midas lovers will mourn the loss of Poco.
